Tobari by Sankai Juku

Imela sem možnost videti vrhunsko in eno najboljših plesnih predstav, imenovano Tobari, kjer so umetniki japonske skupine Sankai Juku prikazali ples butoh, ki so ga plesali pod vodstvom Ushia Amagatsuja.

I had the opportunity to see one of the best dance performances called Tobari, by Japanese artists called  Sankai Juku, where they showed butoh dance, which was led by Ushio Amagatsu. Butoh is a way of dance that was developed in Japan after World War II, as a form of resistance against Western dance techniques as well as traditional Japanese dance.

This top-level performance enchanted me by its perfection, by the dancers who had each move technical so perfected that it looks like each part of their body was giving its own story, by the scenery which was so simple and beautiful and of course by the story. The content I perceive as a story about light beings, their arrival, awakening of consciousness its fall and than rising again.

I have  never seen something so unique and fantastic. During the performance it felted as being in Zen, which is impossible to describe, you just have to see it by yourself. It was also interesting to see reaction from audience, where after thirty minutes of play everybody in the audience began to cough. I find that very interesting. So if you have a chance to see this performance, here is their official website http://www.sankaijuku.com/, where you can find more information and I also put one clip  from youtube.
